The Ford EcoBlue 2.0 engine is controlled by a SID212 ECU which is still un-tuneable through conventional methods due to high levels of encryption.

For several years, we have been offering an OEM power upgrade which takes advantage of the fact that all EcoBlue power variants are mechanically identical, the only difference between the 4 power options is the coding in the ECU. By manipulating the ECU coding, we can increase the power output of most models to 185 hp (depending on software version). The OEM upgrade tuning service we offer is a fantastic option, especially for the lower power vans, however if you own a 185 hp version there is no power upgrade available, or if you own the 170 hp version, the 15 hp gain from the OEM upgrade can feel a little underwhelming.

We now have an alternative tuning option available through the use of a Dimsport Rapid TPM Tuning Module and a custom Avon Tuning Map setting. With our custom map setting the TPM system results in an increase of approx. 30 hp and 60 nm across all power versions. This means even if you have the higher output 170 & 185 hp van, you can finally achieve a power increase to boast about.

Those of you with a lower output engine (105 PS / 130 PS) can see some truly astonishing performance results if you combine an OEM ECU upgrade along with a Rapid TPM Module. See in the photos a dyno graph showing a 105 PS Transit, OEM upgraded to 170 PS (185 upgrade wasn’t available on this software version) combined with an Avon Tuning Tuned TPM, gains of 86 hp and 173 nm!

Rapid TPM (Turbo Power Management) has been developed for the latest generation of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. The modules are equipped with a Microprocessor, FLASH EEPROM and RAM EEPROM to gain full control of the relevant pressure sensors. The modules can intervene and control CAN BUS signals and can even handle the latest SAE J2716 SENT communication protocols.
 

The TPM modules are preprogrammed with a recommended turbo / fuel map, however advanced installers such as ourselves are able to connect our laptop directly to the TPM module to log data and adjust the TPM map, giving us the ability to fully customise the TPM map for each given vehicle and customer requirements.
