Welcome the Ferrari 812 GTS in Rosso Cobun

Few cars demand a presence quite like a Ferrari 812 GTS, and when finished in Rosso Coburn it becomes something extraordinary. This bespoke Ferrari paint was created through Ferrari’s Tailor Made programme in 2013, for enthusiasts Stephanie and Ian Coburn. At the Frankfurt Auto Show the Cobuns were shown a series of colour samples – but the one they liked the most had no name – which they overlooked – but then, six months on, the same thing happened in Maranello during their Tailor Made session. They pointed it out to the Personal Designer, who then wrote something on the back: Rosso Cobuns – History was made. The deep, lustrous red is as rich in history as it is in tone and is now recognised by Ferrari clientele across the world.

812 GTS Performance Upgrades

When this 812 GTS in Rosso Cobun arrived at Avon Tuning, it immediately drew every eye in the workshop. A stunning example of Ferrari engineering was on our doorstep, and it was our turn to enhance the 6.5L V12 sound.

To elevate both sound and performance, our engineers installed the Capristo X-Pipe and a Novitec rear section, two of the finest exhaust upgrades available for the 812 GTS. The result? A complete transformation in tone and character. This naturally aspirated V12 now sings with even greater clarity and aggression, while maintaining that signature Ferrari finesse. On the move, the throttle feels amplified, each gear change is met with a crisp note that reminds you why Ferrari’s V12 remains a masterpiece of engineering.

Fitment Process:

The experience of working with this Ferrari 812 GTS was nothing short of a pleasure from start to finish. Thanks to the vehicle’s longitudinal engine layout and front-mounted configuration, the exhaust upgrade was a seamless, direct fit with no need for any major disassembly to the chassis. This allowed the process to remain clean, efficient and true to the original engineering of the car — exactly how work on a Ferrari should be approached.

As with every vehicle that comes through our doors, absolute quality control was paramount.

Once in place, the entire exhaust system was pressure tested with specialist tools to ensure the integrity of every joint and confirm a perfect, leak-free seal. The system was paired with a valve control fob, giving the driver full control over the exhaust character at the touch of a button — from refined and restrained to raw and expressive. The addition of the Capristo X-Pipe enhances exhaust flow and balances sound distribution across the system, sharpening the V12’s natural tone and unleashing an exhilarating soundtrack.
